Hi,
My I-485 was filed in June'2007 in Nebraska service centre since my company is based in Michigan. I live in PA.
I am filing my EAD now but according to the latest instructions for EAD, the filing centre should be decided based on where you live. So for PA, the filing centre listed is Texas.
My question is should I file in Texas based on where I live or in Nebraska where my I-485 case was filed. The USCIS case tracker also says that my case is at Nebraska.
Thanks
Sanjeev

The antis will tell you that if we could only get rid of cheap foreign workers, Americans would be lining up to take the jobs. An article this past week in the Wall Street Journal shows a different reality. The piece focuses on the dairy industry which is completely dependent on immigrant labor even in a major recession. And dairy is pretty similar to other agricultural fields. US workers are simply not desperate enough to take on these physically demanding jobs in remote rural locations. The antis response is usually the same - if these employers just paid more, then...

Hello,
Here is my situation :
1) Labor filed in EB3 in June 2004. The labor was filed in non-PERM and approved. I-140 was filed in Aug 2007 and it is approved in Dec 2008 with Priority date of June 2004
2) Labor filed in EB3 with same company in May 2006 through PERM. Got approved in 2 months and I-140 applied and approved within 12 months in April 2007. Priority date is May 2006. Applied for 485 in Aug 2007 and have EAD/AP based on it.
I am no longer with the company (quit after 180 days after 485 was applied) and am working for another company on H1B using AC21.
Question is, can I port priority date for 485 processing from May 2006 to June 2004 in my case where I have changed employer. Note that by time June 2004 I-140 is approved, I am no longer with that company.
Regards,

>Can i travel abroad even if my tranfer is under process
>When i enter, what documents do I need to show at POE?
> Can i enter with Company A visa stamp
>Any issues if current employer informs USCIS about my resignation?
Its a emergency travel i cannot avoid. What needs to be done to make my trip

Ooops... I posted my reply to the pic in the gallery! To reiterate here, I love this photo... the only distracting aspect is the deteriorating wall in the shadows on the left. I played with some creative cloning and removed it and quite liked the results. Other than that, the color, symetry and lighting all come together in a really compelling way. It's one of my personal favorites!
