Hello Attorney
I am on H4 visa now and when I was on F2 visa I have used medicaid and wic for prenatal care. It was used during my pregnancy only. I am never asked for that in my h4 visa inteviews. Since my husband is applying for CP for green card . Will it be a problem for me to go for CP ? Will consular office consider it a public charge and deny my GC ? Just in case if I get denial how to overcome that denial ? is there a standard process ? Will it affect my husband's GC ?

Hello.
I will be needing a new re-entry permit(i-131) while renewing my green card and i was wondering if it was possible.
I am going to study back in my home country for 4yrs.
first 2yrs(2010-2012), i am going back with reentry permit.
after 2yrs(2012), i am going back to USA for 6months to renew my green card(going to expire in 2012) and reapply for a new reentry permit.
If i wont have time to get my new green card, i am possibly thinking of going back to my home country for 5 months and going back to USA for 2 wks (to retain green card status) and again, going back to my homecountry for 3 months.
Would going back and forth to my homecountry and USA will affect me from losing my green card?
Any advise will be helpful. Thank you!

I am filing for renewing of EAD. I am stuck at question #15 "Current Immigration Status" My last entry was on L1B in 2007. In 2008 I changed employers and started working on EAD.

Hi,
I am in 7th year of H1B which expires in Dec 2011. I-140 is approved. Applied for H1B extension in Oct2010 (after 6 yrs completed) based on approved I-140 but got extension for only 1 yr till 2011 (got client letter for 1 yr only) . Can i transfer my H1B to new Employer based on my approved I-140 from my current Employer? If so, can i get 3 yr extension with the new Employer or will the new H1B be valid only till 2011?

Generally you get it within 60 days. You sent only a few days ago, wait until March. If they say 3 months, they mean to say that they approve application within 3 months.

Hi All,
My hubbys PD is dec 04 Eb2. His I140 was filed on July 07 and in aug 07
we have applied for I-485.
I got the I-131 receipt notice which is having A# number.
Does A# number means 140 approval ? Online status of 140 shows as pending?

Visitor's visa for my parents expired recently (it was a 5 yr VISA & they visited here 3 times and returned within 6 months each time) and they want to re-apply for a visa. My question is - Do I still need to send in the Document of Support, Employer and Bank letter or they can re-apply without these documents? On the safer side, I am sending the documents but in my view there should not be a need for the support documents...Anyone in similar boat?

They don't verify anything. They ask you to fill in a form I don't remember the form number. I remember they were asking your full name, SSN, Address in US, Country of citizenship, place of birth, your father's and mother's first name.

It has more harm than good. H1B fees increased too much. I hope they will remove this H1B part from the final bill. Anyway Bush is ready to veto this bill for sure.
