    It said "Card Production Ordered"

    How long does it actually take to receive the green card by mail after this message?

    While there are some politicians genuinely concerned about the subject of immigration who are backing anti-immigration laws because they believe in the cause, there are many more who have jumped on the anti-immigration bandwagon to score political points (John McCain - I'm talking to you).     I recommend the Nikon 18-70 AF-S DX zoom in that price range. Right now I use the older 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 zoom on my DSLR, and find that I frequently use the 24mm extreme and wish it went wider. If you do lots of interiors and don't need a very wide angle of view, then one of your suggested lenses would be better due to the larger aperture (keep in mind that 28mm on a DSLR equals the angle of view of a 42mm lens on film).

    My H1B expires in September and was filed under a different company name, but they are a successor in interest. so we were planning on amending the H1B when we file to extend. The problem now is - the beneficiary is in a new position AND as of September 1, 2009 the company has changed addresses.

    A) In filling out the I-129 in Part 2, questions 2 and 5, what are the appropriate boxes to check?

    I am afraid if we amend the current application, it won't also be extended and he will fall out of status.
    part 2 Q 2asks " basic for classification" such as
    1- new employment
    2-continuance of previous approved employment
    3-change in previously approved employment
    4-new concurrent employment
    5-change of employer
    6- amended petition

    B) Also, what documents, other than what we have, should be included in the filing?

    We will file a new LCA with all updated information once we receive a certification of the current LCA and then withdraw it.

    Hello
    I am working on H1 and my current H1 petition is valid until April 6th 2011.
    My visa (stamp) expired in Nov 2009.
    I have my new H1 extension petition approved from April 7th 2011- 2014( same employer).
    I am going to India early Feb and will going to Hyd/Chennai for visa stamp.
    In the visa appointment it is asking for my petition number: which one should I give current or the new extension one. I would like to have my H1 stamped until 2014 so that I can avoid additional trip to consulate.
    Please help.

    I am currently working on H1B. My wife is currently in India with approved I797 for H1B (starting Oct 07). We are debating whether to get H1 or H4 stamped on passport. (H4 is totally our decision and for H1 we need to depend on her company's schedule).

    - Can she come to the US on H4 (lets say next month) and if and when she finds a job (lets say next year), can she switch to H1? Is there a time limit before H1 will become invalid?
    - If she comes to the US on H4, are there any issues changing status to H1?
    - Are there issues when she goes to India again to get H1 stamped?
    - Is there a difference between the I797 approval notice if a person is out of US vs. in US? (I have read something about I-94. I thought I-94 is always attached to 797 approval notice).

    My company is offering my retention contract for 3 years. As I told them that my GC can take long and I haven't filed for I-485 to use AC-21, I will be in trouble if a loose my job. Based on that they are making a written promose that I will have a same job for the next 3 years with all benifits and the only reason I can loose my job is through a decipline action (bad performance, fight, harrasment, etc).

    I want to ask the attorney's and gurus if there is such a contract exist and does it have any value ?

    I have filed two different I-140s for EB2-NIW (NSC, Nov 06)) and EB1-EA (TSC, march07). Both are pending at the moment. I wish to apply for I-485 now as the visa numbers are current in both categories.
    I will appreciate if some one could advise if I can go ahead with the filing with pending I-140s. Also in that case can I file a single I-485 now and just ask it to be linked to whichever I-140 is approved first. will this work?
    In this case whcih 140 number should I mention in my application and whcih center should I send the application to?
